Tell us about yourself.
SL:
I'm a content creator based in Los Angeles, and love making videos sharing my passion in makeup, fashion, and skincare! I've been in the influencer space for over 5 years now and love being able to share my life experiences and connecting with people.
AR:
Describe your earliest beauty memory.
SL:
The first makeup product I ever experimented with was black eyeliner in middle school. I'd apply a dark line to JUST my lower lash line. I've learned a lot since then!

Who had the biggest beauty influence on you growing up?
SL:
I loved the fashion editorials in magazines! They were so colorful and creative.
AR:
What is something that you no longer believe about beauty that you once did?
SL:
That my makeup HAD to look and be done a certain way to be "good" but it made no sense because we all have such unique features!

How do you define beauty today?
SL:
I think beauty is about embracing who we are. This includes the unique features that make us special and who we are on the inside, and how we feel about ourselves!
AR:
Do you have any favorite beauty practices that you swear by?
SL:
You can do so much with a flat liner brush a little concealer! You can clean up the brows, and shape graphic liner looks, but my favorite is using it to create the perfect winged liner. You can really fade out the ends of the wing to make it super sharp and clean!

Is there a moment in your career that you are most proud of?
SL:
There's really too many to name! I feel so lucky to be able to do what I do. Working with Ardell is definitely at the top of my list. They were the first lashes I ever tried, I would stock up on bundles of them in high school, in college, in my 20s! It's such a dream come true to be working with them now!
AR:
What’s your go-to makeup or skin care routine?
SL:
I have to double cleanse when I take off my makeup! I used an oil-based makeup remover or cleansing balm, followed by a gentle face wash.
AR:
What is the best beauty tip you’ve ever discovered?
SL:
Eye primer is a must for me to make my eyeshadows last all day. I can't go without it!
AR:
What is your favorite beauty trend right now?
SL:
I love anything with gems, rhinestones, and pearls! They can look so edgy and ethereal.
AR:
Do you listen to music when you get ready? If so, who is on your playlist?
SL:
I HAVE TO. I listen to my giant playlist of r&b/indie r&b and indie pop. I love chill but also upbeat music. I've also had Sabrina Carpenter's album "emails I can't send" on repeat for months now!
AR:
In addition to getting glammed up, how do you like to spend your free time?
SL:
I love watching all kinds of TV shows and movies. I get such a high from learning about pop culture and connecting the dots of which actors have been in what movies!
AR:
What would someone never guess about you?
SL:
I LOVE horror movies!

SL:

Describe what the perfect "day off" looks like to you.
SL:
Brunch and coffee with friends, then hanging out with our dogs in the sun!

Do you have any words of advice for others who may want to embark on a beauty career?
SL:
Be consistent! I heard this advice so often when I first started out, and I still get this advice to this day.
AR:
What’s next for you?
SL:
Continuing to do what I love- creating beauty content! I also just started a little podcast series on my YouTube channel where we talk about all things life- family, friendships, career, dating, etc. so I'm excited to see how that grows!

What are your favorite ARDELL lash styles? Why?
SL:
Demi Wispies! They look so good on my eye shape and are so versatile!
AR:
What keeps you coming back to ARDELL lashes?
SL:
I love the thin band, how comfortable they feel, and how easy they are to apply.
AR:
What is the trick for the perfect ARDELL lash application?
SL:
Adding the right amount of glue! The Duo Quick Set with the silicone applicator is PERFECT for this. I prefer this over brush applicators!
