SS:
I’m based out of Los Angeles, and Trendmood is your go to source for all things beauty! From beauty news, swatches, beauty products reviews and more…
I started TRENDMOOD 12 years ago and Trendmood Box 3 years ago with my husband who encouraged me from the very beginning to use my passion for beauty and fashion on social media.
It’s been an incredible journey to cultivate a community of people who are just as passionate about beauty as me!

Describe your earliest beauty memory.
SS:
Since I remember myself from a very young age, makeup was always my passion! I used to steal my moms makeup and play with it on my face and on my friends faces. I also used to draw models' portraits from magazines.

Who had the biggest beauty influence on you growing up?
SS:
My grandma has always been and will always be my inspiration. She looked so put together, glammed, never left the house without makeup and dressed up with a lot of accessories and she was not afraid of color! Wherever she will go everyone will complement her and remember her and she loved it.
AR:
What is something that you no longer believe about beauty that you once did?
SS:
Things have definitely changed, before it was so difficult and limited for small brands to succeed and be discovered, and the same for us creators. Today with social media, the sky is the limit and we are able to set trends.

How do you define beauty today?
SS:
It’s all about embracing your own natural beauty and feeling confident.
AR:
Do you have any favorite beauty practices that you swear by?
SS:
Not really hacks, but I learned a lot how to take care of my skin and myself, cause the truth is the best and most important beauty hack is to feel beautiful in your own skin first

Is there a moment in your career that you are most proud of?
SS:
There are sooo many moments that make me so proud, one of them is definitely our Trendmood Box! To be able to put together so many amazing products and brands in one box and have the support of our community, it’s still unreal to me.
AR:
What’s your go-to makeup or skin care routine?
SS:
I’m a working mom, I have 3 children and I don’t have much time for myself, so I focus mostly on skincare. A more light skincare routine, SPF, radiant, brighten in the morning, and at night time is a routine for wrinkles, texture and more. If I ever have time for makeup, it will be a tinted moisturizer, SPF, brows, mascara, blush, highlighter balm, lip balm

What is the best beauty tip you’ve ever discovered?
SS:
Definitely have a lot of these but one of them is to use the setting spray not only at the end all over but also using it after every complexion step by applying it on the makeup sponge, it creates a beautiful blend with all the different formulas and gives a flawless finish to your skin
AR:
What is your favorite beauty trend right now?
SS:
Blush! I have always been a blush girl! Always wore blush since a very young age and it’s something that reminds me of my grandma who always wore blush too. So I’m happy to see the blush category getting the attention in the industry.
AR:
Do you listen to music when you get ready? If so, who is on your playlist?
SS:
Absolutely!! Will never skip that! At the moment I listen to Rosalia I’m obsessed with her, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and the 90’s!
AR:
In addition to getting glammed up, how do you like to spend your free time?
SS:
I love spending time with my family and focusing on creating memories with them. We love traveling together.
AR:
What would someone never guess about you?
SS:
I speak 3 languages: Hebrew, English and Spanish. I danced ballet for 12 years and was a Krav Maga instructor and the list goes on haha

What is one of your favorite inspirational quotes?
SS:
When you have a dream, you've got to grab it and never let go.
Follow your dreams, believe in yourself and don't give up.

Describe what the perfect "day off" looks like to you.
SS:
A day off doesn’t exist for me haha

Do you have any words of advice for others who may want to embark on a beauty career?
SS:
Be true to yourself! We are all different and have something unique to bring to the industry. Believe in yourself and never give up!

What’s next for you?
SS:
There are a lot of things that I want to do, I love to explore and push my boundaries, I keep an open mind which takes me to places I never imagine I will reach to.
